GUEST HARBOUR

Welcome to Korshamn (Ekenäs) on Sydkoster.

Since Koster has limited groundwater availability, there are no hoses on the piers for filling water.
Shower is included in the harbour fee, but we kindly ask you to really SAVE our water!
There are so many tourists on the islands in summer and huge amounts of water are used, so do not let the water run all the time when you shower, for example.

Adjacent to Korshamn there are 2 restaurants, Koster’s smokehouse which also has a fish shop, and Ekenäs Havshotell. There is also a snack bar/kiosk, Hamngrillen, right in the harbour.

There is an ICA store in the middle of the island, and it is about 1.8 km there.

Bike rental via Kostercykeln is available in the harbour area.

Waste

A container for household waste (ONLY) and glass recycling is available.
More extensive recycling is available next to the Ica store in the middle of the island.

Deposit return for cans and PET bottles

Blue containers for returning deposits are placed at two locations in the harbour. The proceeds go entirely to Koster's sports club.
If you want to return bottles yourself, there is a machine at the Ica store.

Shore power

Included in the service fee. Access subject to available outlets on the piers; please bring a splitter.

Public toilets

Four in total, one of which is accessible for people with reduced mobility.
Located by Naturum, opposite Hamngrillen. Open 24/7 all year round.

Service building

TAvailable for boat guests from Easter to October; the front door is fitted with a code lock. The numeric code for the door lock can be found in the booking confirmation.
Toilets: Three, one of which is accessible for people with reduced mobility.
Showers: Three. NOTE! There is a water shortage on Koster, so please use water sparingly.
Washing machine: Fee paid here. (Bring your own detergent)

Drinking water

Canister filling. Water taps are available at the service building and at Naturum.

Boat toilet emptying station

Boat sewage emptying station is located at the far end of the pier by the harbor's southern entrance.

Groceries, diesel & petrol

Please note the distance from the harbor is 1.8 km.

FIRE AND BOAT SAFETY IN THE PORT

For your safety and the safety of others, we ask you to follow Korshamn guest harbors fire regulations. Port values have the right to evict the boat guest if the following regulations are not complied with:

Check the fire safety of your boat daily.
Always check gas stoves or other flammable equipment and exercise great care using them when staying within the port area. When replacing LPG bottles check the couplings.
Be sure to turn off lights, candles, etc. when leaving the boat.
It is totally forbidden to grill on the boat, piers and in the area around these. Grilling is only allowed on the designated barbecue area.
In case of emergency such as a storm, we ask you to pay extra attention to the fire as there may be congestion in the port.
Study the area maps that are set up in several places in the harbor, where there are extinguishers, life-saving equipment and much more excellent, so that you can quickly find in case of fire, accident etc.!

The harbor hosts go on a daily fire patrol to ensure safety in the Guest Harbor.

Extinguishing equipment is available on all piers and at the port office.
